José Luis Verdegay Galdeano

José Luis Verdegay Galdeano is an Emeritus Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, University of Granada, Spain, and director of the MODO Research Group. He is an IFSA Fellow and an IEEE Senior Member. He has been consecutively listed in Stanford’s World’s Top 2% Scientists. His core research covers fuzzy logic, soft computing, optimization and decision systems. He has published 32 books and over 500 scientific papers, supervised 22 PhD theses, led over 55 research projects, and received the Gold Medal of the Iranian Society of Operations Research (IORS) and numerous other academic honors.
